About me

My name is Linda Gleißner and I was born on April 1st, 1994 in Germany.

Questions I am often asked:

1. How long have you been drawing? How did you learn to draw?

  • 2007 - 2008: It all started when I was bored. I scribbled with ballpoint pens on copy paper . I had no idea about drawing paper or anything else.
  • At first I just used the materials I found at home. Unfortunately, there weren't that many and I used up all the ballpoint pens I could get.
  • 2008 - 2010: I started to inform myself a little and bought drawing paper and a set of pencils.
  • Then I started to draw for friends or family  and I earned also my first "pocket money" I had never asked for money, but a friend of my mother gave me some money as a thank you.
  • 2010: To draw with pencils alone was boring for me and I wanted to create colered pictures. For this, I useed whatever was lying around at home. The colored pencils from school or the watercolor box.
  • 2012: I have started delivering newspapers and used the money to buy my first good colored pencils-> A box of 60 "Art Grip Aquarelle" pencils from Faber-Castel. (This box is no longer available today)
  • 2014: I drew the first pictures with Polychromos by Faber Castel (don't like these pens so much anymore)
  • 2017: I get the Luminance and Prismacolor!
  • 2018 : I started my independent work as an artist.
  • 2019 : I bought a graphics tablet and thought myself to draw digital.
  • 2020: You can see what happened 2020 in this video: (unfortunately in German)

  • Away 2021 Every year I made a short video showing which pictures I drew in that year.

2. What is your favorite anime/manga?

  • Anime:
    • 1. Attack on Titan
    • 2. Vinland Saga
    • 3. Demon Slayer
  • Manga:
    • Berserk
    • Attack on Titan
    • *comming soon*

3. What hobbies do you have besides drawing?

Since I've been self-employed, I don't have much time for other things, but when I do have time, I use it to balance things out.
I sit a lot at work and usually need to move around.

  • That’s why strength training in the gym is at the top of the list.
  • In the summer I also like to be on the water with a stand up paddle.
  • Inline skating or jogging is also a welcome change.
  • I also like to go to concerts here and there.
  • And I think the last hobby should be clear to many: I really love reading manga ! By the way, I show you my manga shelf here:(unfortunately in German)

4. What was your best drawing so far?

I think everyone can answer or judge this question for themselves. I see my own drawings with different eyes. I know every mistake I have made that is invisible to outsiders.

I would rather say "my favorite drawings" regardless of whether they are technically the best. Sometimes I also like drawings better because they show my favorite characters.

This leads to the next question:

5. Who are your favorite characters?

Regarding anime and manga:

  1. Guts from Berserk
  2. Zoro from One Piece
  3. Giyu from Demon Slayer
  4. Other characters that I really like:
    • Mikasa from Attack on Titan
    • Killua from Hunter x Hunter
    • Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen
