All 151 Pokémon of the 1st generation on DIN A1

  • Size: DIN A1 = 59.4 x 84.1cm
  • Material: Luminance colored pencils, acrylic paint, Ohuhu & Copic markers, copic opaque white, Ohuhu brush pens, liner, Prismacolor colored pencils
  • Working time: Several hundred hours spread over 12 months. Started in November 2023 & finished at the end of October 2024.

This drawing shows all 151 Pokémon of the 1st generation. I started this drawing in October 2023. I was inspired by the card collecting game. Here is the set which only contains cards with Pokémon of the 1st generation.
After that, I really wanted to draw a few Pokémon. I couldn't really decide which one to choose and then decided to just draw them all.
As I couldn't find any templates on the internet that I liked - there were only templates where all the Pokémon were simply listed in order - I looked for templates for each Pokémon individually and put them together to make a collage. I even took the Pokémon's size ratio into account.
Over the course of the year, I worked on my Pokémon project again and again and I have to admit: if I had known how long it would take me, I probably would never have started.
After the first 30 hours, I had already spent almost 100 hours drawing, and between the 30th and 40th Pokémon, I lost track of the time. So I don't know exactly how long I actually worked on it... but I think that's for the best.
The price seems very high at first, but the material costs alone are unimaginably high... for example, I ordered a special pad for €40 in DIN A1 for the project.
